By the late 1950s Greensboro was on of the key places for black choice. Blacks had protested the discriminated in stores and other place. Although the black residents had been elected to the school board, black physicians could not practice medicine. Black protest really got heated when a NC govener refered to the blacks as Nigras in a speach. A sit in is when alot of people enter public places and dont leave until their word is heard.
